SPORTY is an easy-to-build aileron trainer model with excellent low-speed flight characteristics. The wings are simply mounted on a slipway. The manoeuvrable model is controlled using the elevator, ailerons and rudder. The model can also be equipped with landing flaps.

The wing is constructed in two parts and is attached to the fuselage before assembly.

Due to its low flying speed, Shorty is ideal for learning to fly a motorised model. The very detailed building instructions with 3D step-by-step drawings guide you through the entire construction process. Covering paper is included in the kit for covering the wings and tail unit, and the building instructions also include a detailed video tutorial explaining how to cover the wings.

The kit contains: All components made of laser-cut wood, small parts, linkages, covering paper for tail units, undercarriage with wheels, 3D building instructions.

An optional tow release can be installed, the parts for which are already included in the kit. All you need is an additional AN-12-MGBBA servo. The tow release can be used to tow smaller glider models such as the Lilienthal 40 to the starting altitude. An ideal trainer for anyone who wants to learn how to tow larger aeroplanes.

A suitable drive set is available for the Sporty model under the number 1367/01 (contains motor, controller, propeller, driver, 4 servos, servo extension cable).

If the optional landing flaps are to be installed, an additional 2 servos 7003/74 and 1 pair of servo extension cables 7457/60 are required.
