Tug Zwarte Zee model kit

The Zwarte Zee was built in 1963 by J. & K. Smits Scheepswerven N.V. in Kinderdijk, Holland. Length 77.50 m, width 12.35 m, draught 6.90 m, displacement 1,539 GRT. Two Smit-M.A.N. turbo diesel engines deliver 9,000 hp. These engines drive a common propeller shaft via Vulcan fluid converters and reduction gears. If a fast manoeuvre is necessary, one engine can run forwards while the second runs astern. Speed 18 knots.

This kit is equipped with a deep-drawn ABS hull and laser-cut wooden parts. The rudder, propeller shaft with stern tube and propeller are designed to be driven by an electric motor. All fitting parts are included in the scope of delivery along with a construction plan and building instructions.
