Kalle 2 is a 1:20 scale model of a small steam tug typical of the tugs of the 1920s and 1930s.
The hull is moulded and made of plastic. The fittings set is pleasingly well equipped, tyre fenders, beautiful bollards and movable metal anchors are included in the kit. A set of finely detailed etched parts for fan grilles, hooks and plates. The supplied ship lighting can easily be fitted with lamps. The drive shaft is usable but could be replaced by a shaft with bearings. The propeller is made of plastic and can be replaced with a nice brass screw. A motor mount was already included in the design of the model and is included in the set. The German building instructions are comprehensive.
There is plenty of space for a smoke generator and lighting, which can be optionally installed.
A steam drive is not provided.
